Canon

Pachelbel's Canon in D Major is one of the most beloved works in the classical repertoire. Three voices answer one another in perpetual imitation over an unwavering basso continuo, creating a harmony that is serene, radiant, and timeless, a piece that has accompanied life's most beautiful moments for centuries.

It is this serenity, this luminous purity, that the perfumer sought to capture. A floral, musky melody, as gentle as a promise, opening with crystalline notes before settling into a silky, powdery veil, serenity and harmony in perfect accord.

Aldehydes open the composition, luminous and almost ethereal, like the first notes rising through silence, the beginning of a new dawn. Bergamot follows with its fresh, citrus radiance, calm and uplifting. Orange blossom then unfolds, milky and delicate, carrying the central melody like the strings of the Canon, white, pure, and innocent, the tender heart of the composition.

Musks softly envelop the skin with a silky, powdery trail, like the tranquil echo of a melody that lingers in the memory. Cashmere wood lays the foundation, smooth and unwavering, echoing the persistent bass line that never falters, sustaining the entire composition like a promise that time can never alter.
