La Bagatelle

Beethoven's Für Elise is one of the most familiar melodies ever written for the piano, evoking the gentle memories of childhood. An intimate, crystalline bagatelle composed in 1810 for a young student, its theme returns three times: familiar, tender, and irresistible like a memory that always finds its way back.

It is this world of gentle nostalgia and quiet comfort that the perfumer sought to capture. A floral, powdery melody that opens with crystalline notes before settling into a delicate veil of musk, like childhood memories lingering softly upon the skin.

Bergamot awakens in the opening, soft and crystalline, carrying the carefree lightness of childhood. Iris follows, powdery and mysterious, as nostalgia gradually overtakes innocence, the familiar refrain you recognize before it has even begun. Peony blossoms at the heart of the composition, generous and tender, radiant like the return of the main theme: comforting, soothing, always present.

White amber lays down a delicate, mineral veil, like the piano's final sustained note resonating in the silence of the room. Musk concludes with a soft, powdery trail, a memory that lingers on the skin long after the melody has fallen silent.
